Updates for Spring 2005
Over the past couple of years quite a number of people have expressed the desire to come and visit the project but for one reason or another it doesn't happen. If you were to come and see us, one of the things you might see is the shop where all the hardware and construction support is located. Recently we made some big doors for the loading bay of the greenhouse...here's a slide show of the shop and the door project. DIY!
Since beginning the Aqua Farm and this page, we've had some steady progress in the following areas...
We're currently building our first prototype aquaponic/hydroponic grow-beds, both a portable (somewhat) and a poured in place version. Working photos and commentary on our plans can be found here.
We've also made some steady progress on the behemoth greenhouse...primarily in stucco, insulation, sheetrock, some windows. New photos of these modest steps forward are at greenhouse, spring '05.

By focusing locally, we can be responsible to our environment and our own local culture and community.
By focusing locally, we keep capital generated by the community in the community, increasing the quality of life for all.
Lots of folks are on to how important local issues really are and they're doing good work to address them...

Perfect Circles Aqua Farm Project
The Perfect Circles Aqua Farm, the first Perfect Circles project is an experimental prototype of a community agriculture/educational effort. Through interlinking fish and vegetable production hydroponically in a 4900 sq. ft. underground solar-powered facility, a variety of organic foods can be produced by local labor for local consumption. The farm will also raise medicinal and exotic plants.
